
About Mitchell:

Mitchell is currently the Operations, Production & Program Director on Richmond's
ESPN 950 WXGI. Some of his
wide variety of duties including producing the station's
morning show, commercials, promos & local sports updates weekdays from 7a to
1p. Taking a break from radio, Mitchell worked as the Broadcast and Internet Assistant
in the Athletic Department at the University
of Richmond from September 2001 thru May 2003. The previous three years Mitchell
spent at Sports Radio 910 WRNL, producing local and syndicated on-air
programming, as well as commercial and promotional spots. In addition to his
duties at WRNL, he was a producer for sister station WRVA and
the Virginia Sports Network, which syndicated University of Virginia football
and basketball broadcasts. While attending Patrick Henry High School in Ashland,
Mitchell spent four years working for both his school TV and Hanover County
Public Schools' local cable access station, Channel
36. During that time, he edited, produced and even hosted his own
sports-talk TV show, as well as shot football, basketball and baseball
games. Mitchell was also part of a 2-man crew who produced "PH Football
Replay," a weekly highlight show that aired to Patrick Henry students in
the fall of 1997-99. This show featured footage of the schools' football games
each week of the season.
